Discover the Magic of Salt Lake City, UT
Where the City Meets the Mountains
Welcome to Salt Lake City, a walkable downtown with the Wasatch Mountains rising right behind it. As the host city for AdvisorCon 2027, and the city where Bill Good Marketing got its start, Salt Lake City is the fitting home for our 50th anniversary.
It’s a rare place. You can spend the morning in a session, grab lunch on Main Street, and be standing in a mountain canyon before dinner. Downtown’s grid makes it easy to get around on foot, with each block running about an eighth of a mile. Clean, easy to navigate, and framed by some of the best scenery in the country, it’s a backdrop built for learning, connecting, and clearing your head.
Travel Made Easy
For USA Teams

For Canadian Teams
We’re glad to welcome our Canadian friends. Air Canada serves SLC, so just bring your passport for entry into the U.S. and enjoy everything Salt Lake City and AdvisorCon have to offer.
Pro tip: check your passport expiration early, and book your flight in advance for the best rate.
Easy and Affordable Flights to Salt Lake City
Your Road to AdvisorCon Starts Here
Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) is one of the easiest big-city airports in the country to use, and it’s close. The airport sits about five miles from downtown, so you can be at The Grand America roughly ten minutes after you land.
1. Well-connected
SLC offers nonstop service to nearly 100 destinations, so wherever your team is coming from, the trip is usually a short one.
2. A newer, easier airport
The terminal reopened in 2020 as a LEED Gold building with one central terminal, faster baggage handling built for gear like skis and bikes, and Utah-themed art throughout.
3. On-Time and Reliable
SLC keeps a strong on-time record, with about 84% of flights leaving on schedule, which means more time at the conference and less time waiting around.

Taste the Flavors of Salt Lake City
A Food Scene Worth the Trip
Salt Lake City surprises people. The downtown food scene runs from upscale steakhouses and handmade-pasta Italian spots to bright Mexican kitchens and fresh sushi. Ask a local about Red Iguana for Mexican, or head ten floors up to The Roof for Temple Square views and Utah classics like reimagined funeral potatoes and honey-drizzled desserts.
Whether you’re grabbing coffee before the first session or sitting down for a long dinner with your team, every meal is a chance to connect and recharge. Come hungry, and try the fry sauce at least once while you’re here.
When the Sessions Wrap
Rooftops, Breweries, and Easy Nights Out
When the day’s learning ends, downtown is a short walk in any direction. The rooftop scene comes alive at spots like The Green Pig and Van Ryder, and Fisher Brewing draws a good crowd. Toast the day’s wins with your team, find a quiet cocktail bar, or take an evening stroll. City Creek Center sits across from Temple Square with more than 100 shops and restaurants, an open-air creek, and hourly fountain shows.
Whether you’re grabbing coffee before the first session or sitting down for a long dinner with your team, every meal is a chance to connect and recharge. Come hungry, and try the fry sauce at least once while you’re here.
Reach the Mountains in Minutes
The View That Makes This City Different
This is the part no other conference city can match. The canyons start just outside downtown, so you can trade the conference floor for a mountain trail in about half an hour. Ten major ski resorts sit within an hour of the airport, and five national parks and dozens of state parks are within reach if you decide to stretch the trip into a long weekend. In spring, the canyons are open for hiking and scenic drives, with the peaks still capped in snow.
Whether you build in an early-morning hike or just take in the view from your room, the mountains are a reminder of exactly the kind of thing AdvisorCon is about: building a business that gives you the room to enjoy them.
